About APEC

The Association pour la promotion de l’éducation citoyenne (APEC) was created in 2012 with the aim of offering young people a space for free expression without prohibitions or taboos. APEC organizes weekly debates from October to June with young people aged 15 to 19 in youth centers in suburban and rural areas.

In 2021/22, we added APEC culturel, an introduction to artistic expression through theater, which continued in 2023/24.

In 2022/23, with APEC digital, we launched a pilot project to raise young people’s awareness of digital professions, which continued in 2023/24.

In 2023/24 we introduced young people to Tunisian cinema by screening 16 short films from October to June.
